The group is about to give up when Poppy sings a song to cheer them up. No matter what you call it, these song snippets can appear from out of nowhere, with no reason or explanation, and they’re involuntary. It’s also referred to as stuck song syndrome or sticky music. She tries negative reinforcement, and forces them to eat a onion cupcake every time they hear the song. Research and literature call earworms involuntary musical imagery or INMI. Poppy then tries home remedies, but mixes up the fear one for hiccups. Moonbloom, who tells them they are done for. (Poppy is holding pom-poms to cheer the Trolls on because it is Confetti-Fest.) Poppy: OK, Trolls, who’s ready for CONFETTI-FEST (Cannons shoot confetti as the crowd cheers.) Smidge: (laughs) I can’t decide what I love most about Confetti-Fest. Poppy listens to the song, but when she wants to hear it again, the Trolls tell her not to or she'll be like them. The following is a transcript for the episode 'Ear Worm'. Finally hearing them freak out, Poppy asks if everything is okay. Throughout the day as they go their business, they discover that everyone talking to them sounds like they're singing the song. ![]() They go an entire night without sleep, as they can't get the song out of their heads. Within moments of them all trying to sleep, they find out that they can still hear the song it is now stuck in their heads. By the end of the day, they're all exhausted from partying and listening to the song all day. They then decide to continue to listen to the song while doing things. She plays a mixtape she made, and the catchy song puts them in the mood. After 4 hours of setting up the game, they have cleaned one piece. They try and make a obstacle course they have to run through, but it results in very little confetti cleaning. Poppy tells them to cheer up and make it fun. Cooper, DJ Suki, Smidge and Guy Diamond are down about how long this will take. She soon eats her words as it is cleanup time, and now the whole village has to clean up the confetti. The Trolls play with the confetti and Smidge proclaims it is pure fun with no drawbacks. Poppy cheers in Confetti-Fest and the Trolls celebrate all things pertaining to confetti, getting it everywhere. ![]()
